The Butcher's Daughter is a Great Depression era film that follows a young farm girl living with her aging father on the secluded plains of rural Indiana. Their tranquil life is shattered when mobsters suddenly arrive on their doorstep, making demands and revealing dark secrets from the fathers past.
The Butcher's Daughter was filmed in the Spring of 2007 in Southern California. Exterior shots were filmed in Fillmore, California at the same house depicted in the Television Series Jericho, and the interior shots were filmed in the historic Mentryville House In Pico Canyon.
Man in the Fog Producers were invited to the Mentryville House during the production, where they were able to observe the filming, meet the cast and crew, and play with guns. The Butcher's Daughter makes its San Francisco Premiere at the Fog City Film Festival.
